The orchid gardesn are not easily found - you have to ask - look for a small sign on your left as you head away from downtown on Santo Domingo Street - then go down the stairs to the left - you will see the sign on the gate - ring the bell and the caretaker will let you in. It was early in the season - but there were some blooms - around May is the best time I was told.
